Charmaine found herself homeless and felt lost – she had no career path and was struggling to make ends meet. Thanks to BCHA employment and housing services she was not only able to secure housing, but make a successful career for herself.

Charmaine is now a Relief Co-ordinator at BCHA, where she has been working for 6 and a half years. She is passionate about helping others make a change in their own lives – no matter how small.

Charmaine’s piece of advice for changemaking:

“Take every opportunity that’s given to you”

  • £100 would pay for one 16-18 year old to undertake NVQ level 2 Health and Social Care or a plastering course through Bournemouth and Poole College
  • £3,500 can provide Construction Skills Certification Scheme card training registration fees for 100 people looking to upgrade their employment skills.
